Welsh Sheepskin Rug, Organically Tanned in Wales.

Our sheepskins are always a by-product of the meat industry that would otherwise be wasted. All our sheepskin rugs are tanned using natural and chemical free methods. This rug is from a Shetland cross sheep.

Occasionally there will be possible colour change due to the veg tanning process. Light colours can sometimes turn to a peachy ginger tone over time.

Length of rug approximately 89cm, width measured at the widest point is 76cm. The wool is 0.5-3cm long.

Machine Washable (read washing instructions with care). Make sure the rug fits with ease into the washing machine. Consider using a large laundrette machine if you have a big or thick rug. Wash at 30°C on a wool, hand wash or delicate cycle. Use mild detergent. You may need an extra spin to remove excess water. Remove rug from the machine and gently shake out creases. Do not tumble dry. Do not place on direct heat source. It is very important to dry the sheepskin carefully and naturally. Place on the washing line wool side out, folded in half so no skin is exposed. Shake frequently to keep the skin supple. We cannot be responsible for any damage causes by washing.
